Henry Benjamin Turk, 97, of Wenatchee and a pioneer resident of Manson, {Washington] died in a Wenatchee hospital early Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, following an illness of two weeks. Mr. Turk was born on Oct. 15, 1857, in York County, Pennsylvania, and resided there until he moved to Iowa as a young man. On Nov. 10, 1886, he was married to Corinna L. Stanford at Gault, [Galt] Iowa, and was employed as a telegraph operator for many years prior to operating a farm in Iowa. He moved with his family to South Dakota in 1901 where he homesteaded and purchased his present Manson ranch home in 1902.
