G. R. CAMPBELL PASSED AWAY SATURDAY P.M.
Lingering Illness of 15 Years Duration Ended Life of Former Northwestern Train Dispatcher.

George R. Campbell, 61, died at his home on Southeast 2nd Street, Saturday afternoon, April 6th. Mr. Campbell was taken ill suddenly 15 years ago. He has been an invalid continuously since that time. When a young man he learned telegrapher's code and won rapid promotion with the Northwestern and at the time he was incapacitated by what proved to be his fatal illness, he was third trick dispatcher at the Northwestern office here. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus order and held offices of high responsibility in that order. Funeral services.were held at the home and at Sacred Heart church Tuesday morning. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Mildred Dewey, Sterling, Ill., Gordon of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Alice Hutchison of Clarion. The sympathy of the community is extended them in the hour of their great bereavement.
