Virginia M. Jaberg, 82, of 2839 Windpointe Ct., Sheboygan, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family in prayer.

Born April 23, 1923, in Oostburg, WI, Virginia was a daughter of the late Willard and Mabel Beernink Dirkse. She attended Oostburg Public Schools and graduated from Oostburg High School at the top of her class. On June 5, 1946, she was united in marriage to Rev. Vernon Jaberg at Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed Church, Sheboygan by the Rev. Elmer C. Jaberg.

Virginia was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and a former Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member. She was also a member of the Women of Retired Clergy Group. Virginia loved to crochet and made many blankets for family and friends which led to her involvement in Project Linus. When the production of Charlie Brown was held at Horace Mann School, Virginia was the guiding force behind it becoming a collection for Project Linus and they received over 100 blankets as a result. She loved watching and attending sporting events, travel, collecting cardinals, crossword puzzles, and time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Vernon, four children Mary Lyn (Jerry) Liebetrau, West Bend, WI, Rev. Mark E. (Dr. Patricia) Jaberg, Howards Grove, Steven J. (Susan) Jaberg, Kohler, WI, Laurie (Terry) Mauss, Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Charlie J. (Marie) Liebetrau, North Potomac, MD, Joe J. Liebetrau, Milwaukee, WI, Leisl Jaberg, Woodridge, IL, Dr. Peter (Lisa) Jaberg, Quincy, MA, Tim Jaberg, Green Bay, WI, Maria Mae Jaberg, DePere, WI, Jon Michael & David J. Mauss, Sheboygan; three great grandchildren, Alexandra, Mason, Lilliana Jaberg; one sister, Nance (William) Claerbout, Orlando, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Carl Dirkse, (Carl's Mary).
