Larry L. Tideback, 74, Greeley, CO, formerly of Aitkin, MN, died December 1, 2016 at the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley with his daughter Jodi Foster and granddaughter Leah Foster at his side. There was no funeral service. The immediate family will celebrate his life at a private gathering sometime this spring/summer.

Larry was born April 29, 1942 in Belmond. He graduated from Belmond High School in 1960, married, and had two daughters. After a successful retail career Larry relocated to the Mille Lacs Lake area in Minnesota to care for his parents Russell and Marvis Tideback. He moved to Colorado in the spring of 2014 not long after the unexpected death of his oldest daughter, Lynn Robbins-Tideback. This move allowed him to be closer to his remaining daughter, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.

Larry loved the rural area of Greeley that gave him the small town feel and yet was less than an hour away from the Denver metro area where his remaining family lives. He especially enjoyed the mild winters after 17 years in Minnesota. He had made fast friends, enjoyed his afternoon happy hour with the locals, and did a bit of golfing. He and his daughter Jodi were roommates for a good portion of his time in Greeley as she saved to buy a home of her own. They enjoyed their time together very much, made the most of the great opportunity to get to know each other again, and shared lots of laughs. Jodi introduced Larry to Netflix, and he really enjoyed watching movies and would get wrapped up in a television series marathon.

He is survived by his daughter Jodi Foster of Denver; granddaughters Leah Foster of Denver and Jenna Dinnell of Lakewood; and great-grandchildren Jordyn and Austin Dinnell.
