October 20, 1898 --- February 25, 1973

Grace Rosetta Blank, daughter of Albert and Eva Nieman, passed away at the Belmond Community Hospital Sunday, February 25, 1973, following a short illness. She was born October 20, 1898, and was 75 years, 4 months, 5 days at her death. She was born on a farm north and east of Kanawha and had lived in the Kanawha area all her life. She had been a patient at the hospital since January 21, 1973. She received her education in the rural schools of Kanawha and was a member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She was married to Berend (Ben) Blank February 25, 1920, at the home of her parents in Kanawha, Iowa. Grace was survived by her family, 4 brothers, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ben in 1943, one grandson, one son-in-law, Donald Marchand, and one sister, Mrs. Edd Luppen. Funeral services were held on February 28, 1973, at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church, Rev. Marvin Van Donseslaar officiating.
