Funeral Tuesday For Albert Ross

Funeral services for Albert E. Ross, 68, of Wellsburg were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Harold Hollander officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Special music was provided by a men's quartet consisting of Richard Schafer, Melvin Haupt, Arnold Eiten and Lary Riebkes accompanied by Mrs. Charles Diehl and Mrs. Henry Vandevoort Jr. was organist. Casket bearers were Gratus Mudderman, Edward Miller, Evert Heikens, Willard Riekena, Evert L. Bakker and Meint Bakker.

Albert E. Ross passed away Friday evening around 7:30 o'clock at a nursing home in Clarion due to cancer. He had been a resident of the nursing home since August 9th. He reached the age of 68 years, 5 months and 14 days. He was born on a farm in Shiloh Township, northwest of Wellsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Evert A. Ross (nee Stenka Swyter). He attended the rural school in the area. For the last two years he lived in Eagle Grove.

Those who preceded him were: his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Grace Bakker, Mrs. Meinst Mudderman, Mrs. Bertha Riekens, two in infancy and a brother, Evert E. Ross. He is survived by: five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Anna Bakker of Wellsburg; (Minnie), Mrs. Ebbo Heikens of Wellsburg; Mrs. Rena Miller of Dike; Willie E. Ross of Estherville; Mrs. Dena (Tena) Harms of Wellsburg, and Mrs. Heiko Miller of Spirit Lake.
