January 4, 1917 ---- September 27, 1975

Jay Wallace McCollough, 58, of rural route one, Eagle Grove, died at his home Saturday. He had been ill for many months and hospitalized for surgery and care at various times during the past months. Mr. and Mrs. McCollough had just moved into their new home on the farm a few days before his death.

Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Glazier officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Masonic services were conducted at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Mr. McCollough is survived by his wife; sons, Capt. Brian McCollough, Clarke AFB, Philippines; Lt. Cameron, Fort Sill, Okla.; Alan, at home; daughter, Camile, a student at Sioux Falls, S. D.; one grandchild; four brothers, Maxwell and William, Webster City; Kenneth, Abilene, Tex.; Arnold, Rivera, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Lucile Maxson, Webster City.

Mr. McCollough was born at Webster City and attended school at Webster City. He married Margie Tapper of Webster City in 1939, at Garner, Iowa. They farmed at Webster City and Blairsburg, and then moved to a farm near Eagle Grove in 1963. He was a member of Blue Lodge and Chapter Council, Commandery, the Shrine, Order of Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem of which he was high priest of Chapter, and past patron of the O.F.S.
