Funeral Rites Held For Clyde E. Legg

FORT DODGE - Funeral services for Clyde E. Legg, 46, of Eagle Grove, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bruce's Memorial chapel in Fort Dodge with The Rev. G. O. Wangbert, pastor of the Washington Lutheran church at Duncombe officiating. Burial was in the Graceland cemetery at Webster City. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Duncombe American Legion post.

Mr. Legg died last Thursday, March 18, at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge where he had been a medical patient for two weeks. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Carol Ann, at home; two brothers, Fred and Frank Legg, both of Duncombe, and a sister, Mrs. Amos Severson, Webster City.

He was born Nov. 10, 1918, at Duncombe. He served with the Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific. In 1949 he was married at Nashua to Miss Mary Jo Phillips of Fort Dodge. Since their marriage, they had lived on a farm southwest of Eagle Grove. He was a member of the Duncombe American Legion Post.
