Funeral services were held from the Willim Funeral Home Chapel in Clarion on Thursday afternoon at one-thirty. Rev. William Granger of First Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Casket bearers were: Earl Hammen, Robert Harkema, John Griffith, Ryan Carroll, Vera Chapman and Larry Riley. Kathryn had been ill with cancer the past three years. On October 28, 1993 she entered University Hospitals in Iowa City where she died on Monday morning, November 1. She had attained the age of 67 years, 3 months and 5 days.

Kathryn Alice White was born at Nevada, on July 27, 1926 the daughter of Hobart and Mabel Brattick Graves. She grew to womanhood and received her education in Webster City. On September 19, 1948 she was united in marriage with Chester D. (Chet) White at Blue Earth, Minnesota. They: lived in Webster City until moving to Lake Cornelia at Clarion in 1962.

Survivors include her husband, Chet, three children; Rita Anderson of Belmond, Tim of Cedar Rapids and David of Clarion, 4 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a foster daughter, Phyllis of Arch Grove, Texas. Her parents and a brother, Orlin Graves, preceded her in death.
