John Harris Wagner, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2016, surrounded by his family. He began his life journey April 13, 1935, on a farm in Iowa [Eagle Grove]. From there he joined the U.S. Air Force and became an accountant. He eventually settled in Las Vegas, where he met and married his best friend, Charlotte. They raised three children together and became owners of Toot's Cocktail Lounge in the heart of downtown. John eventually turned to real estate as a successful business broker. John enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and sports as well as discussing politics with his family and friends. He was the strong, silent type and admired by all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his wife, of 39 years, Charlotte. He is survived by his three children, son, John Thomas and his wife, Valorie, and his daughters, Christine and Barbi (Rosemary); and his granddaughters, Madison and Gracie. Services will be at 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Heaven Can Wait, a charity much loved by John and his family.
