Shirley (Powell) Reese, 84, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, October 26, 2015 under the care of Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Saylorville Church (6429 NW 6th Dr, Des Moines, IA 50313). Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Saylorville Church with Pastor Pat Nemmers officiating. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Damon Reese of Ankeny, IA; sons: Mike (Shelley) Reese of Waterloo, IA; Jim (Carol) Reese of Overland Park, KS; Dan (Tina) Reese of West Des Moines, IA; daughter: Cheryl (Brent) Ouellette of Ankeny, IA; eight grandchildren, two great grandsons, sister, Barb (Tom) Gorham of Westerville, OH; and brother, Jerry (Carol) Powell of Des Moines, IA. Memorial contributions may be directed to Saylorville Church or Mercy Hospice - Johnston.
