BELMOND, IA — Lillian L. Nelson, 88, died Wednesday (Dec. 14, 1994) at Belmond Healthcare Center, Belmond. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Laurence Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, and one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born July 18, 1906, in Palermo Township, Grundy County, to Chas. A. Fultz and Celia M. Price Fultz. She moved with her family to Osage, where she attended school. She was married to Dr. A. M. [Alan Morey] Nelson on May 23, 1931, at Boone. They moved to Belmond in 1931, where her husband began a medical practice and practiced until his death in 1982. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Laureate Alpha Omega Chapter Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Kensington Club, 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star and an avid golfer and bowler. There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. A. M. Nelson; parents; and four sisters.
