October 27, 1910 ---- May 13, 2002

MASON CITY, IA - Almina C. Jacobson, 91, of 516 S. Garfield, died Monday (May 13, 2002) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev Kenneth Hatland of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa or Good Shepherd Telephone Reassurance.

Almina was born Oct. 27, 1910 in Story City, the daughter of Severt and Ragnhild (Nerheim) Jacobson. Almina moved to Kanawha with her parents in 1914. She received her education in rural school in Kanawha and was confirmed at the Kanawha Lutheran Church. She married Ole Jacobson Oct. 4, 1936, in Kanawha. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, knitting and working in her flower garden.

Almina is survived by two sisters, Selma Braun of Mankato, Minn., and Lillian Naussner of Clear Lake; a niece, Noreen Roberts; nephews, Ronald Dempsey and Steve Braun; one great-niece and one great-great nephew. Almina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ole, in 1988; three brothers and one sister. Major Erickson Funeral Home and Crematory.
