Delores "Dee" May Seidel, 60 of Rockwell, died Monday, December 21, 2015, at her home. Delores was born in St. Paul, MN, on January 30, 1955, the daughter of Richard Pettey and LaVonna (Grouette) Petty, and after their divorce was raised by Sam and LaVonna Ewing. Delores graduated from Mason City High School, in 1973, and after graduating, was married to Rusty Seidel, and to this marriage two children were born, Lucas and Ross. Delores worked for Eaton Corporation in Belmond for over 20 years. Dee enjoyed many things including surrounding herself with family, gardening, cooking, watching football, and taking care of her cats. She was always the voice of reason, and was eager to lend an ear to friends and family in need. She especially loved spending time with her mother and grandson.

Delores is survived by her mother, LaVonna Ewing of Mason City; two sons, Lucas (Susie) Seidel of Casselberry, FL and Ross Seidel of Thornton; a grandson, Ryder Seidel; three siblings, John (Sue) Pettey of Mason City, Mike Pettey of Rockford, and Linda (Bob) Martin of Klemme; and her special friend, Doyle Smith of Belmond.
She was preceded in death by her father; Sam Ewing; and a brother, Ron Ewing.

A funeral for Delores will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City, with Reverend Dennis Ganz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the chapel.
