November 10, 1931 --- February 3, 2015

SWALEDALE, IA --- Beverly C. Faaborg, 83, of Swaledale passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Hospice of North Iowa. A time of sharing with her family and friends will begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Retz Funeral Home, Thornton. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Crystal Oberheu presiding. Interment will be at the Meservey Cemetery.

Beverly Corrine Faaborg was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Corwith, a daughter of Simon and Cathryn (Peterson) Mosiman. After losing her parents at age 4, she lived in the Toledo Children’s Home most of her young years, returning and graduating from Belmond High School. On Dec. 28, 1949, Beverly was united in marriage with Lloyd Faaborg. They enjoyed their 65 years together farming in Iowa, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

Left to cherish Bev's memory are her husband: Lloyd Faaborg, Swaledale; daughters: Linda (Roger) Engebretson, Thornton; Peg (Mark) Ingebretson, Houston, Texas; daughter-in-law: Linda (David) Dahley, Greeley, Colorado. Bev was deeply loved by her eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Waiting for her in her eternal home are her son: Gene Faaborg; sisters: Clara Mae Steenblock and Esther Daniels; brothers: Cecil, Archie, Bob, Rollin and Donald Mosiman. Retz Funeral Home, Thornton, Iowa.
