Aged Settler Dies Suddenly

This morning at one o'clock occurred the death of Peder S. Kaltvedt at his home three miles northeast of town. He had not been feeling well, but was in town yesterday. This morning he passed away quietly, so that the family hardly noticed it. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from Bergen Church. Peder S. Kaltvedt married Guri Olsdatter in 1861 in Norway. He immigrated to the United States from Norway in 1883. They originally settled in Creston, Ill., where the family lived for three years. Then they moved to Milford township, in Story County, Iowa.
