Frances M. McAllister, age 95, of Dows passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation in Clarion. Funeral service for Frances M. McAllister will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Presbyterian Church in Dows. Pastor Shawn Hill will officiate. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Dows. Visitation for Frances M. McAllister will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the church.
Frances Mae, the daughter of Hans and Tina Smith Pals, was born on August 16, 1921 in Belmond. She grew up in the Belmond area and attended school through eighth grade. In November 1945, Frances was united into marriage to Robert McAllister in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The couple made their home in Dows, where they raised their family.
Frances is survived by her daughter-in-law Patricia of Arvada, CO; granddaughter Angela (Shawn) Kerstiens of Arvada, CO; and two great-grandchildren Ethan and Emma. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert; son Robert; grandson Brian; three brothers Pete, Roy, and George; and parents Hans and Tina Pals.
