Christian Olson, son of Halvor and Pauline Olson, was born May 7, 1906 near Stavanger, Norway. He passed away August 8, 1966, at Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 60 years, 3 months, and 1 day. He came to the United States as a young man in 1930 and worked as a hired hand at Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was married to Jeanette Olson December 30, 1947 and after a year and a half in Minneapolis had made their home on the farm near Galt, Iowa. To bless this union and grace the home, three children were born. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette and the three children, Judy, Carroll, and Joel, all at home. Also surviving: a sister and five brothers in Norway and a brother, Karl, in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and four brothers. In 1947 the scripture verse from Rev. 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me", spoke to his heart and he received Jesus Christ into his life. He was a kind and loving husband and father and led the family in the things of God. He was a faithful member of the Missionary Alliance Church of Blairsburg and served as a deacon for many years.

Our heartfelt thanks to all our wonderful neighbors, friends and relatives for their many acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy at this time of sorrow and great loss of husband and father. Our sincere thanks for all memorials for food, cards and floral tributes sent at this time. Special thanks to Ladies of Missionary Alliance church for serving dinner and to ladies of neighborhood for serving lunch after funeral. A sincere thanks to all and to the entire hospital staff.
