ARTHUR WADDELL SUICIDES AT THOR
Arthur Waddell, at Thor, evidently committed suicide, for he was found dead in his bed Wednesday morning with a bullet hole above his right ear and a revolver in his hand. Arthur is a brother of the Waddell boys, of this city, was 46 years of age and had conducted the barber shop at Thor for 14 consecutive years. Arthur was in good circumstances financially. He owned a good improved farm north of Humboldt, and the banker at Thor told one of the brothers that he was probably worth some $15,000. There is no known reason of the sad ending. Despondency is evidently the only reason.

He and his wife had a separation some ten years ago and his despondence may perhaps date from that time. He was a genial man and well liked by everybody. He had no children. He had lately agreed on the sale of his barber shop, possession to be given March 1st. He had a room at the rear of the shop and it was in his bed in this room that he was found the next morning. The remains will be buried here. The funeral will likely be held Friday afternoon at the old home on South Park avenue.
