November 14, 1900 --- July 14, 1961

Funeral services were held Monday morning in Sacred Heart church for a former resident, Gordon Campbell, 60, of Des Moines. Mr. Campbell died Friday morning at Mercy hospital, Des Moines, following a heart attack. Rev. Thos. O'Toole of Corwith officiated at the mass, and Sacred Hearts pastor Rev. Francis Phelan gave the sermon. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. He is survived by his wife, and their two adopted daughters, Mrs. Donald Kennison and Mrs. Verne King, both of Des Moines, who were daughters of his sister, Mrs. Alice Hutchinson. Mr. Campbell, a long time employee of the Chicago and North Western Rail Road here was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Campbell. For many years he was employed by the American Ass'n. of Rail Roads, and had lived in Des Moines during that time. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Mrs. Alice Hutchison and Mrs. Porter Dewey.
