December 10, 1880 ---- October 11, 1924

Peryl Robinson, son of Amos and Jane Robinson, was born at Clarence, Iowa, Dec. 10, 1880, and died at his late home at Tipton, Iowa, Oct. 11th, 1924, aged 43 years, 10 months and 1 day. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Whalen of Tipton, Iowa, April 26, 1910. After their marriage they moved to Clarion, Iowa, where Mr. Robinson was manager of a telephone company for five years. On returning to Tipton he worked as an electrician until failing health compelled his retirement. Last December he was operated on at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, but received only temporary relief. Thus after two years of suffering he died Saturday, October 11th.

Much of good may be said of him. He was kind and loving in his home, was a friend of the children of the community and everyone had a good word for him. He was a lover of nature and found great delight in the out-of-doors. He was a faithful worker and was held in high esteem by those by whom he was employed.

There remain to cherish his memory and to mourn his departure his wife and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Thompson of Tipton, Iowa, Mrs. Anna Belle Cole, of Berkeley, Calif.; Mrs. Gladys Louck, also of Berkeley, Cal.; 4 brothers, Rollie of Clarence, Iowa, John, of Lowden, Iowa; James, of Cedar Rapids; and other relatives and friends. His father preceded him ten months and his brother Sile seven years ago.

He has been a patient sufferer and while he is greatly missed by his relatives and friends yet death came as a relief. He had the simple faith in which he was brought up and felt that in God was his everlasting hope. The bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of all who knew them. May the God of all grace comfort and sustain them for He has promised to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday p.m. at 2:00 o'clock. Burial was made in the Clarence cemetery.
