After retirement, she and Clarence volunteered for the U.S.D.A VOCA program, where they traveled to Jamaica for three months.

Anna had a few hobbies. She enjoyed her flower gardens, movies, playing Canasta and was an avid reader.

She spent the last nine years at the Meadows and the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Clarion where her health recently declined. She passed on to be with her husband Clarence Hefty on July 16, 2016 in Clarion.
