August 4, 1915 ---- October 20, 1918

The Harrison Conkings' home was saddened Sunday evening by the death of little Miss Mary Dell Conkings. She had had about a week's struggle with pneumonia. She had been successful overcoming an attack of this dread disease last winter, but was unable to ward off this one. She was born August 1, 1915, being 3 years, 2 months and 16 days of age at the time of her death. The burial services were held Tuesday afternoon and the interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mary Del was a bright, lovable little girl, always agreeable, kind and thoughtful, far beyond her years. The parents and relatives have the sincerest sympathy of their many friends at the time of their irreparable sorrow. The services were in charge of Rev. Charles A. Seward of the Methodist church. Miss Thorpe sang two selections with violin accompaniment.
