December 28, 1881 --- September 16, 1964

Vernon P. McIntyre, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 16th at Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, following a short illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Kastler Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Lyle Lieder. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. McIntyre a retired business man in Eagle Grove, was a former coal and concrete products dealer here for many years. He was born in Hardin county and came to Eagle Grove when he was 6 years of age.

His wife the former Victoria Nelson, died a year ago. Closest survivors are a cousin Forrest Fromm of Eagle Grove, three sisters-in-law, Nancy and Mildred Nelson of Des Moines and Mrs. Lottie Young of Glendale, Calif., and a brother-in-law Arthur Nelson of Salem, Ore. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge.
