Funeral services for Lyden K. Knight, 62, were held on Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City with the Rev. David L. Abrams officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Mr. Knight died Wednesday night at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge where he had been a patient for two days. He has been in ill health for 12 years.

Lyden K. Knight, son of Frederick and Mable Vest Knight, was born April 1, 1920 in Lake Township, Wright County. He was reared and educated in that community and graduated from the Clarion High School. On Jan. 4, 1947, he was married to Nina Bailey Pfaffenbach in Des Moines. The couple farmed in the Clarion, Webster City, Thor and Dows area. In 1968, the family moved to Webster City where he was employed by Modern Farm Systems and later by Webster City Products. He retired n 1972, due to ill health. In 1977, the couple moved to Fort Dodge. He is survived by his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Connie Pfaffebach of Fort Dodge, two sisters, Mrs. Avis Huffman of Des Moines and Mrs. Richard (Ilene) Campbell of New Hampton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Knight in May, 1978; both his parents, and one brother, Orlin Knight in May, 1982. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, the UAW No. 442 of Webster City and the VFW, Walter Porsch Post 1856. Knight was a son-in-law of Mrs. Elma Bailey Crose of Eagle Grove.
