September 15, 1924 ---- July 16, 1982

Paul E. Trausch was born to Mr. and Mrs. Steven Trausch on Sept. 15, 1924 at Eagle Grove. He farmed in this area until he moved to McCook Lake, South Dakota 20 years ago. He married Eileen Jones at Luverne, Minn. Trausch was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of the Catholic church. He was dead on arrival Friday, July 16 at a Sioux City hospital after becoming ill at work.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Doug of Evergreen, Colo., and Garry of Eagle Grove; six daughters, Mrs James (Doreen) Kranz and Mrs. James (Cathy) Dyer, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Mike (Paula) Hill and Robin Trausch of Mexico, Mo.; Mrs. Rod (Kim) Kelling of Pomona, Calif., and Mrs. Doug (Lisa) Thompson of Renwick; three brothers, Steven of Tucson, Ariz., Kenneth of Eagle Grove, and Duane of Crawford, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs Bill (Irene) Volkamer of Des Moines, and Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Morphew of Clarion, and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19 at the Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove with the Reverend Dennis Trausch officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Scripture service and a rosary were recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Berkemier Funeral Home in Sioux City, with the Rev. Jude Brunnert officiating.
