July 27, 1966 --- November 3, 1984

Jayne Van Zwol, daughter of Richard and Marvel Van Zwol of Melbourne, was killed in an auto accident on Saturday, Nov. 3. Jayne was a passenger in a car that was struck broadside when a young man went through a stop sign. Jayne was born on July 27, 1966 in Marshalltown. She lived in Melbourne, attended Melbourne Community Schools, and graduated from West Marshall High School in 1984. At the time of death, Jayne was attending Marshalltown Community College. She was a cheerleader for the basketball team, and a member of the Dynamics Music Group. Jayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Services were held Monday afternoon from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marshalltown. Bishop Stephen Pence was in charge. Burial was in Rosehill Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her parents of Melbourne; grandmother, Mrs. R. W. Van Zwol of Eagle Grove; 3 brothers, David and James of Melbourne, and Richard Jr. of State Center; and a sister, Mary Van Zwol of Monterrey, Calif. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandfather.
