Sivren Rasmussen dead
Sivren Rasmussen died at his home on northeast 3rd street, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Rasmussen was partially helpless about three years ago from a stroke of paralysis. He was 84 years of age. At one time he was engaged in the bakery business in Eagle Grove. He moved to Eagle Grove in 1887. His aged wife survives. The remains will be taken today to Boscobel, Grant county, Wis., for burial.

Severine Rasmussen was born in Christiansand, Norway, Europe, on February 26, 1844, and died in his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, May 8, 1928, aged 84 years, two months and 12 days. Mr. Rasmussen came to the U. S. A. to Chicago, Ill., in 1874, where he worked his trade, that of a baker, for several years after which he moved to Iowa, working some years in Mason City and about 40 years in Eagle Grove. He was married to Miss Carrie Gilbertson here in Eagle Grove in 1887 [October 2]. She now survives him. He is survived by one brother and one sister in Norway. Funeral services were held in the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral Home Thursday evening, the remains were taken to Boscobel, Wis., for burial.
