September 3, 1901 --- November 24, 1901

Died on Sunday evening, Nov. 24th, Beryl Margaret, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Page. The little one had never been very strong but many friends hoped as months passed by she would gain strength, little dreaming that already the stern mandate of the destroyer had gone forth, and Death had marked her for his own. We grieve for life's bright promises just shown and then withdrawn, feeling that had years of life been granted her, many lives would have been happier and more useful because she had lived. The funeral was held at the home, three miles south of the city, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the little one was tenderly laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery, Rev. G. W. Southwell officiating.

Oh Mother Earth! close gently round
This tiny form we give thy keeping,
And flowers bloom sweetly o'er the ground
Round and about our loved one sleeping.
