Henry Calvin Frybarger was born in Stephenson County, Ill. Feb. 19, 1852, and died July 26, 1930 at the age of 78 years 5 months and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Etzler in 1874. To this union 9 children were born, one died in infancy. They made their home in Ill. until 1902 when they moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa, settling on a farm east of town, and lived there for several years. Mrs. Frybarger died on Feb. 16, 1903. Mr. Frybarger went to Fall River County, S.D. residing there until March 5, 1930. He went to Huron, S.D. making his home with his son Stanley. On Saturday night when crossing the street he was run over by an automobile and died in a short time. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah Swartz of Monroe, Wis. He leaves to mourn his death, four sons: Boyd of Blue Earth, Mn., Stanley of Huron, S.D., Clyde of Olerich, S.D., and John. Also four daughters: Mrs. Cora Schramm of Woonsocket, S.D., Mollie of Portland, Oregon, Esther Confer of Chadron, Neb., and Eltie Wright of Highmore, S.D. He was a member of the English Lutheran Church. He was a kind and loving husband and father. Funeral services were held in the chapel home in Huron on July 29, and Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home on July 30 at 9:30, conducted by Rev J. G. Eaton. The remains were laid to rest beside his wife in Rose Hill cemetery to wait the coming of the Lord.
