Mary Alice Oldaker was born on October 18, 1903 in Wright County, Iowa, the daughter of John Henry and Edna Tellier Oldaker. She received her education in the Eagle Grove School System. She was united in marriage to Max Marolf of Wayne County, Iowa on March 10, 1955. The couple made their home on the L.E. Beer farm until retirement after farming for 18 years. She entered the Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge where she had surgery. She died on August 17, 1986 at the age of 82 years, nine months, and 29 days.

Alice is survived by her husband, Max, a brother, John Edward Oldaker, Hamburg, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Lynn Comegys, Des Moines; two nieces, Velva Lee, Carlisle, and Ruth Welshon, Hamburg; two great nieces and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Blanche Holm.

Mrs. Marolf was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19,1986. Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
