January 11, 1911 ---- December 3, 1975

Leonard Elmer Anderson was born January 11, 1911, in Kit Carson County, Colorado to Herman and Louise Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed into the triune faith on April 25, 1943 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. T. J. Severtson officiating. He passed away at Trinity Regional Hospital in fort Dodge on December 4, after reaching the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 24 days.

Mr. Anderson attended schools in Minnesota and in Goldfield. He was united in marriage to Hope Hanson of Thor at Badger on June 25, 1932. They made their home in Thor, Goldfield, and Eagle Grove. Mr. Anderson was a Chicago and North Western Railroad engineer and had been in failing health for a number of years. Leonard was preceded in death by his father, one son Darrell Gene; and one brother, Harold. Those who mourn his his passing are his wife; five daughters - Mrs. Marvetta Gerard, Webster City; Mrs. Darlene Erickson, South Sioux City, Neb.; Mrs. Rebecca Kotchka, Eagle Grove; Joanne (Mrs. Clayton Will), Badger; Lucinda (Mrs. John Asche), Eagle Grove; mother, Mrs. Louise Anderson, Eagle Grove; and three sisters, Mrs. Harry Bennett, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Homer Bjornson, McAllen, Tex.; Mrs. Lena Mathis, Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at 2:00 p.m. at EGELC, Rev. H. W. Schiller officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
