Harold Stueland, born to Hans and Minnie Mickelson Stueland at Eagle Grove, October 16, 1903, died at East Moline, Illinois, Monday, June 10, 1957 of cancer of the throat. As a boy of nine, he moved with his family to Clarkfield, Minn. About 1940 he moved to East Moline to work for the John Deere company. He is survived by his wife, one son Carl; two sisters Ruby, Mrs. Henry Oxtra of Elbow Lake, Minn., and Evelyn, Mrs. Harlan Kruger of Wood Lake, Minn.; and five brothers, Arthur of Clarkfield, Clifford of Aurora, Minn., Richaard of Clarkfield, Earl of Granite Falls, Minn, and Edwin of Dubuque. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Reuben. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at East Moline and Thursday at 2:30 at Kastler Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik officiating. Interment at Rose Hill cemetery. Howard Knutson and Mrs. Irvin Nessa of Thor sang. He has many relatives at Eagle Grove, and Thor.
