August 19, 1925 ---- April 6, 1951

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church at Paton for Leola Vaun Peterson with the Rev. William T. Paden, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Dodge in charge. Casket bearers were Melvin Estlund, Wayne Hansen, Wilbur Anderson, Dean Mengel, Leonard Anderson and Carl Gord. Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide with Me". Singers were Mrs. Harold Wahl and Mrs. Phil Horn, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Easley.

Leola Vaun Rapp, daughter of Mrs. Nellie M. Rapp and the late George H. Rapp, was born August 19, 1925 at Paton, Iowa and passed away on April 6, 1951 at the age of 25 years, 7 months and 12 days. She was graduated from the Paton Consolidated School in 1943, and attended A.I.B. College in Des Moines. She was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church of Paton. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Peterson of Thor, Iowa on June 25, 1948 in First Presbyterian Church at Fort Dodge, with the Rev. William T. Paden officiating.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, and by two daughters, Joan Louise and Carol Jo; and her mother, Mrs. Nellie M. Rapp, and the following brothers and sisters: (May) Mrs. Albert Estlund of Fort Dodge; (Mildred) Mrs. Tripp Clark of Inglewood, Calif,; (Myrtle) Mrs. Kenneth Pratt of Des Moines; and Alvin Rapp of Paton. She was preceded in death by her father, George H. Rapp, on March 27, 1950.
