May 1, 1897 --- June 16, 1965

Daniel F. Doty, 68, of Bremerton and formerly of Edmonds and Port Angeles, died June 16. Born in Goldfield, Iowa, Mr. Doty moved to Port Angeles in 1903 and to Edmonds in 1905. He worked as a mechanic in Edmonds until served as a volunteer fireman for 28 years. In 1950 he moved to Bremerton and in 1963 retired after working at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 13 years. He was a first World War Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 66 of Edmonds. He and his wife, the former Ernestine Landon were married in Edmonds in 1922.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sisters, Mrs. Annie Judge, Monroe, and Mrs. Maude Joyce, Edmonds; and three brothers, Leo Doty, Seattle, William Doty, Tacoma, and Lloyd Doty, Sumner. A brother, Ray Doty of Edmonds, preceded him in death last October. Funeral services were held June 19 at Miller-Reynolds in Bremerton followed by cremation.
