Warren Porter, 62, of Iowa Falls, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Hansen Family Hospital. A celebration of life service and visitation will be from 1-4 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Woodley Funeral Home. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Warren and his family.

Warren Russell Porter was born on June 9, 1953 to Clerence and Minnie (Lochmann) Porter in Clarion, Iowa. He graduated from Alden Community School in 1971 where he played football and ran track. He attended Ellsworth Community College, graduating in 1973. On July 30, 1983 he was united in marriage to Vicki Coffman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Warren was a farmer his entire life and also worked at Cargill in Iowa Falls and Iowa Vet Supply.

Warren and Vicki lived on the acreage north of Alden where he farmed and raised hogs. He enjoyed raising show pigs. In 2010 the couple moved to the acreage near Iowa Falls, which they absolutely loved and where Warren farmed a few acres and enjoyed gardening. He was an avid Iowa State fan, attending many football and basketball games. Over the years he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had much affection for his dogs: Sammy, Prince and Zoey.

Warren is survived by his wife of 32 ½ years, Vicki Porter of Iowa Falls, Iowa; daughter, Stacy (Brad) Hunter of Vienna, Austria; son, Neil Porter of Illinois and step-son, John Coffman of Ames, Iowa; one sister, Rita (Mike) Maher of Minneapolis, MN and a niece, Amber (Beau) Crawford of Farmington, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dwight.
