Gladys Evelyn Fraser, 88, passed away February 18, 2004, at Belton Research Hospital at Belton, MO. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, I-435 at Holmes Road; burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2004, at the funeral home.

Gladys Evelyn Hansen was born September 21, 1915, to John E. and Anna Dorthea Marie (Petersen) Hansen in Ringsted, IA. She was raised and educated in Iowa and united in marriage to Clinton C. Fraser on May 24, 1937, in Eagle Grove, IA. To this union were born six children. They moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1951, and then to Grandview, MO, in 1956. In 1960, Gladys received her Missouri Cosmetology License and opened her own beauty shop in 1962 in Grandview, MO, and retired after 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter and a grandson. Survivors include one son, Donald Fraser from Richardson, TX; four daughters, Merriam White of Grandview, MO, Kathy Turner of Sunrise Beach, MO, Mary Henderson of Columbia, IL, and Caia Paterson of Belton, MO, also 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and one sister-in-law.
