MASON CITY — Amah H. Hall passed peacefully of natural causes on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at the I.O.O.F Home in Mason City. Private family funeral services for Amah H. Hall have been held. Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond in charge of arrangements.

Amah Hall was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Rowan, IA, to James and Amanda (Andrews) Smith. She started her schooling in Dows and graduated from Rowan School in 1942. She worked at the Depot café in Mason City and married E. "Bud" Hall on Sept. 9, 1950. They lived in Central Heights and enjoyed fishing at Clear Lake, taking car rides, and taking trips on the train. After her husband's death, she enjoyed taking her rides on the bus. She shared many happy times at Woody's Bingo and VFW bingo.

Amah is survived by her brother Marvin Smith of Rowan, her sister-in-law Lila Smith of Belmond, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, brothers, Floyd, Edward, Don, Bruce, and sister Gail Rink.
