PETER SEBBER BURIED AT GRANITE FALLS

Died Thursday Morning Following Two Years of Illness With Cancer

Mr. Peter Sebber, whose illness we reported in these columns a week or two ago, passed away at the Granite Falls hospital last Thursday morning, at 12:30 A. M. He had been ailing for two years suffering with cancer of the stomach.

Between fifty and seventy-five relatives, neighbors and friends from Clarkfield and the community to the west of here were in attendance at the funeral which was held in the Lutheran church in Granite Falls Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Erickson in charge. He was assisted by Rev. O. Lee of Madelia, a personal friend of deceased, and brother of Iver Lee of this place. Floral offerings and donations to missions were generous in memory of Mr. Sebber, who was one of these rare, sunny natures who make friends everywhere. Interment was made at the cemetery east of Granite Falls.

Surviving Mr. Sebber are his wife, and four children, a grown-up son by his first marriage, living at Iowa Falls, Ia., and two boys and one girl by his last marriage.

Mr. Sebber was born was born in Benton County, Ia., February 17, 1870. He was married, and made his home at Thor, Iowa, before coming to Minnesota in the year 1902. Purchasing a farm about 7 miles west of Clarkfield, he settled down with his young wife. A son was born to them. The future looked bright and rosy, but death stepped in and left Mr. Sebber a widower with an infant son on his hands. He let the farm in Tyro go, and spent some years at various tasks. Then he re-married and purchased another farm near Asbury, north of Granite Falls, in 1917. Two years ago his health began to fail, and in spite of everything that could be done for him he passed away on November 3rd, aged 62 years.
