Don Clinite Dies In Marshalltown

Donald Clinite, 77, died January 3, at the Marshall County Care Facility in Marshalltown. Funeral services were January 6 at the Pursel-Davis Chapel with Rev. Richard Sebeniecher officiating. Burial was in the Conrad Cemetery. He was born January 19, 1912, in Grundy Center, the son of Orval and Lura Bockes Clinite. He graduated from the Grundy Center High School in 1930, and attended Eagle Grove Junior College for a short time. Mr. Clinite married Doris Fouch June 9, 1934, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He lived in Conrad for 32 years, and owned the Conrad Creamery and Produce. He then lived in Marshalltown 23 years and was employed by the City of Marshalltown for 16 years at the water pollution control plant as plant operator. While in Conrad he served on the school board, Conrad Volunteer Fire Department, Conrad Lions Club and the Conrad Town Council. He was preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include his wife, Doris, of 2309 S. 5th Ave., Marshalltown, two daughters, Donna Burke of Ogden, UT, and Darla Luse of Lacona, two grandchildren, three sisters, Thelma Clinite of Cedar Rapids, Lola Hughes of Conrad, and Annabelle Speicher of Union.
