Oliver "Ollie" Claude Dawson, 73, of Hot Springs, Arizona, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. Family and friends will share memories and celebrate Ollie's life in December.

Survivors include sons, Brad (Nancy) Dawson of Brooklyn Park, and David Dawson of Baxter; daughters, Jackie (John) Marolt, of Naples, Florida, and Janelle (Toby) Morrison of Shakopee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Martha Dawson; sisters, Diana (Allan) Bajari of Annandale, and Wanda (Dwayne) Lamprecht of Mora. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Eva Kay Dawson; and special friend Kay Rich.

He was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Braham, Minnesota to "Babe" Wilmer and Ada Dawson. Ollie spent his childhood in Iowa and graduated from Kanawha High School in 1959. He also lived in Annandale and Florida. He worked for a variety of employers and was self-employed. He had a passion for art, photography and family genealogy. He had a great sense of humor. Ollie moved to Hot Springs in the late 1990s where he enjoyed retirement and watching the "horses run" at Oaklawn Park.

“Ollie” Oliver Claude Dawson, 73, of Hot Springs, died peacefully in his sleep on November 17, 2015. He was born November 19, 1944 in Braham, Minnesota to Wilmer and Ada Evelyn Dawson. Ollie moved to Hot Springs in the late 90s and enjoyed spending time at Oaklawn Park. He is predeceased by his parents, infant sister, Eva Kay Dawson and special friend, Kay Rich. Loving survivors include sons, Brad (Nancy) Dawson and David Dawson, both of MN; daughters, Jackie (John) Marolt, of FL and Janelle (Toby) Morrison, of MN; sister, Diana (Allan) Bajari and Wanda (Dwayne) Lamprecht; the mother, of his children, Martha Dawson; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ollie chose to be cremated.
