Elsie Minor, 96, of Marshalltown passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, at Southridge Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 31, at the Anderson Funeral Homes. A memorial has been established in her name.

Elsie was born May 13, 1919, to Edward and Lousie (Hanson) Kallem, in Montana. She was united in marriage to Orval Minor, in Missouri. Elsie was employed in the kitchen at the Marshalltown hospital. Primarily, she was a homemaker. Elsie enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking. She loved attending her Friday night card club.

Elsie will be missed by three daughters; Karen (Richard) Franklin of Marshalltown, Marlene Needs of Laurel, Iowa, LeAnn Stevens of Pella, Iowa; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Cripps and Jean Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son-in-law, Randy Stevens; three sisters; and six brothers. Anderson Funeral Homes of Marshalltown were in charge of arrangements.
