EAGLE GROVE - Jerold B. Stockdale, the son of Thomas and Lucille (Michehl) Stockdale, was born October 22, 1947. He was raised and educated in Goldfield and Eagle Grove. Jerold passed away suddenly on May 2, 2015, in Fargo, ND, at the age of 67 years.

Survivors include his wife, Robin A. Cox of Long Lake, SD; children, Missy Stockdale (Shawn Kelley) of Gilmore City and J.B. Stockdale II (Mathilde) of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Jacob Rosendahl and Zelda Stockdale; siblings: Eugene (Linda) Stockdale of Fort Dodge, Robert Stockdale of Duncombe, Jim (Jan) Stockdale of Carlisle, Joyce Hill of Eagle Grove, Ken (Pam) Stockdale of Mason City, Connie McConnell of Des Moines, Diane (Doug) Terwilliger of Otteson, Luann (Tom) Brickei of Ankeny, Doris Madson of Eagle Grove, David Stockdale of Milwaukee, WI, Marcia (Tim) Sadler of Eagle Grove, Tim (Linda) Stockdale of Lewisville, TX and Mark (Kris) Stockdale of Eagle Grove. Services will be held at a later date.

Jerold Bruce Stockdale passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, at the age of 67 years. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Rev. John Couch officiating. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Jerold Bruce Stockdale, the son of Thomas and Lucille (Michehl) Stockdale, was born October 22, 1947, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Goldfield and Eagle Grove. Jerold received his GED in 1963, and entered the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS Mt. Baker and USS Virgo working as a pipe fitter/metal fabricator during the Vietnam War.

Jerold married Eula Olds on March 20, 1970 and to this union two children were born, Missy and J.B. The couple later divorced. Jerold married Robin A. Cox on November 23, 2002, in Mason City, Iowa. The couple made their home in Mason City, Iowa, Dickinson, N. Dak., McVille, N. Dak., Tappan, N. Dak., and Long Lake, S. Dak. Jerold worked for American Display selling outdoor electrical signs and also operated Pasquale’s Pizza in Fort Dodge.
Jerold was a member of the International Bible Church out of Tennessee – Rev. John and Glenna Couch.

He enjoyed traveling, telling jokes, building/remodeling, singing and listening to music. Jerold passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, N. Dak., at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Stockdale; sister, Betty Rasmussen; brother-in-law, Clint Hill; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Stockdale. Survivors include his wife, Robin A. Cox of Long Lake; children, Missy Stockdale (Shawn Kelley of Gilmore City, and J.B. Stockdale II (Mathilde Baldwin) of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Jacob Rosendahl and Zelda Stockdale; siblings: Eugene (Linda) Stockdale of Fort Dodge, Robert Stockdale of Duncombe, Jim (Jan) Stockdale of Carlisle, Joyce Hill of Eagle Grove, Ken (Pam) Stockdale of Mason City, Connie McConnell of Des Moines, Diane (Doug) Terwilliger of Otteson, Luann (Tom) Brickei of Ankeny, Doris Madson of Eagle Grove, David Stockdale of Milwaukee, Wis., Marcia (Tim) Sadler of Eagle Grove, Tim (Linda) Stockdale of Lewisville, Texas, and Mark (Kris) Stockdale of Eagle Grove; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Rev. John Couch officiating. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove and Goldfield are in charge of arrangements.
