LOGANSPORT, Ind. - Rose Marie Peterson, age 73, of Logansport, Ind., died on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with a Scriptural wake service at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1934, in Faribault, Minn., to Thos. Duban and Mary (Trcka) Duban. She was married on Jan. 29, 1955, in Immaculate Conception Church, Lonsdale, to Ronald Peterson, who survives. Rose Marie retired in 1996 from the Sears store in the Logansport Mall, where she worked in the paint and hardware department. She had also been previously employed at Hamilton-Standard. Rose Marie was a 1953 graduate of Northfield High School, Northfield, Minn. She enjoyed polka music, many fishing trips to northern Minnesota, crossword puzzles, reading love novels, sewing, canning, flowers and listening to Captain Crunch on the radio. She loved her large family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandbabies. Rose Marie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and All Saints Ladies Society. Rose Marie spent her final three days at home surrounded by her loving family before going home to the Lord after a long battle with cancer.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Peterson, Logansport; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Melissa Peterson, Monon, Ind.; daughters and sons-in-Iaw, Deborah and Randy Britt, Rebecca Peterson, Cynthia Campbell, Lynn and Donald Shepard, Mary and Harold Wagoner, and Jennifer Peterson and her companion Marc Jackson, all of Logansport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thos. G. and Martha Duban, Faribault, Minn., Robert and Sylvia Duban, Dundas, Minn., and David and Bonnie Duban, Faribault, Minn.; sisters and brothers-in-Iaw, Mary Ann and Richard Langeslag, Faribault, Minn., and Juanita and Allen Swedin, Northfield, Minn.; 19 grandchildren, Christopher Britt and his wife Caleah, Angela Staggs and her husband Charles, Laura Peterson, Amber Peterson, Timmy Peterson, Heather Peterson, Nastassia Peterson, Makena Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Megan Wagoner, Brandon Wagoner, Brittany Wagoner, Eric Wagoner, Ryan Wagoner, Krista Shepard, Holli Shepard, Shawna Shepard, Nachelle Jackson and Nevyn Jackson; eight great-grandchildren, Austin and Aidan Staggs, Sydney Britt, Kendra Peterson, Kiera Peterson, Kristian Peterson, Avery Penn and Garrett Wilson. A number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Tupy; and sons-in-law, Patrick J. Campbell and Don Devericks.
