Diane K. Ruiter, 68, resident of the Nora Springs Care Center, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa. Diane was born February 25, 1947, at the Belmond Hospital, Belmond, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Tena (Gruis) Ruiter. She was confirmed in the Christian faith. She attended schools in Meservey, Grafton and Forest City where she graduated in 1965. Her parents Fred and Tena farmed in these areas. Diane was happy on the farm. She loved her cats and dogs. Diane was in the band while attending Grafton Schools. She enjoyed playing the clarinet. She loved to listen to gospel and Christian music. She enjoyed scrapbooks, reading, crafts watching movies and shopping too.

She is survived by three sisters Viola Kessler, Clear Lake, IA, Leona Orvick, Forest City, IA and Maurine Nash and her husband Don, Lady Lake, FL; brother LuVern Ruiter and his wife Dorothy, Thornton, IA; and many loving nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Tena Ruiter; brother Dale Ruiter (formerly of Raymond, IA); brothers-in-law Raymond Kessler (formerly Meservey, IA) and Hubert Orvick (formerly Forest City).

Diane will be remembered as a kind and loving person, always ready to help someone. We have many fond memories of our sister. God wanted her now, she took his hand, He set her free. We can be assured Diane would say “Under his wings, I am safely abiding. He has redeemed me and I am his child.”
