Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sandwick, 73, who passed away on Sunday, October 2, after several months illness, were conducted Wednesday, October 5, at 2 p. m. at the First English Lutheran church, the Rev. A. L. Rustad, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Robert Brown, Faribault, Kenneth Jensen, Vernon Jensen, Harold Amerson, all of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Eldean Drewes, Forest City, Iowa, and Raymond Amerson, Goldfield, Iowa.

Mary Amerson, daughter of John and Karen Amerson, was born August 29, 1876 near Thor, Wright county, Iowa. She resided in Iowa until 1894. She was married to Sven J. Sandwick. Following their marriage the couple lived at Eagle Grove, Iowa, Brantwood, Wisconsin, Elmore, MInnesota, and Miller, Iowa. Mrs. Sandwick is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John L. Brown (Josephine) of Faribault; Mrs. Joseph Jensen (Minnie), Eagle Grove, Iowa; Mrs. William Drewes (Alma), Forest City, Iowa, and Mrs. Joseph Gunvalson (Rose) of Cyrus, and two sons, Orvin Sandwick, Park Rapids, and Willie Sandwick, LaPorte. One sister, Mrs. Walter Smith, Des Moines, Iowa, two brothers, Gust Amerson and Andrew Amerson of Eagle Grove and 16 grandchildren also survive. Mr. Sandwick and three sons, John, Merlin and Oris Sandwick preceded her in death.
