James "Jim" Hudelson -- Des Moines

Jim Hudelson, 86, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at HCI Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 10, at Iles-Westover Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines.

Jim was born October 6, 1928, in Clarion, Iowa to Harry and Margery Hudelson. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948, where he was an All-American diver and captain of the football team. Jim attended Cornell College and Drake University where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He worked for Economy Forms for 41 years. Jim enjoyed traveling, sailing, sports of all kinds and animals. His greatest love was spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice, his daughters, Margie Monachino (Doug Staskal), Jayne Molleck (Bill) and Jeanne Stutts; five grandchildren, Joe Aulwes (Kristin), Brad Monachino (Sora), Mike Monachino, Nick Molleck (Megan) and Luke Molleck; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Natalie Aulwes.

Memorial contributions may be made to Spring Harbor Supported Community Living in Nora Springs, Iowa, North Star Community Services in Waterloo, Iowa or Chrysalis Foundation in Des Moines.
