Donald P. Lemieux, Jr., 57, of Pelham, NH died Wednesday, July 29th at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lori L. (Harris) Lemieux who survives him and with whom he celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on February 16th of this year.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, April 26, 1958, the son of the late Carole (Chambers) (Lemieux) Gurney who died May 13, 2015 and the late Donald P. Lemieux, Sr. He attended Littleton, Massachusetts schools and was a graduate of Littleton High School in the Class of 1976. Eager to further his education, he went on to earn a degree in Baking at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before retiring, Don was owner and operator of Don’s Catering in and around southern New Hampshire for over 15 years. Previously, he was employed as Kitchen Manager and Baker with Auto Snack Caterers in Lowell for 20 years.

Among his many interests, Don enjoyed camping, fishing, bird watching, gardening, bowling and snowmobiling. One of his favorite pastimes however, was cooking and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife Lori, Don is survived by a daughter Nicole M. Lemieux and her boyfriend Abel Placeres of New Britain, CT; a sister Debora L. Healey and her husband Peter of Pawtucket, RI; a brother David A. Lemieux and his wife Darlene of Dracut, MA; his mother-in-law Emily (Mattingly) Harris of Clarion, IA; two sister-in-laws Vicki Jackson and her husband Dan of Clear Lake, IA; Christi Broshar and her husband Bill of Kanawha, IA; a brother-in-law Gary Harris of Clear Lake, IA; many nieces and nephews; his dear friends Tim and Susan (Wilson) Monette of Pelham; and many dear family friends. He was also the loving father of the late Michelle E. Lemieux who died March 10, 2007. Don was also the son-in- law of the late Robert J. Harris, brother-in-law of the late Marcia Harris and uncle of the late Brad Broshar.

Friends may call at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 2 to 6 P.M. Sunday. His Funeral Service will be held Monday morning at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME at 10 o’clock. Burial to follow in Gibson Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions in his memory to Michele E. Lemieux Scholarship Fund, c/o Enterprise Bank 139 Bridge St., Pelham, NH.
