Hildegard Madison, age 77, of Belmond passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. uneral services for Hildegard Madison will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday July 23, 2015 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond. Robert L. Dugger will preside. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation for Hildegard Madison will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday July 22, 2015 at the funeral home and will continue for one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Hildegard, the daughter of Heinrich and Lena Mandery Wehner, was born November 10, 1937 in Frankfurt, Germany. Hildegard grew up in Germany. She attended and graduated from her Secondary Education in Germany and also attended some Advance College Education. After her college, Hildegard began working for the Horcht Pharmaceuticals as a Lab Tech. It was in post-war Germany, Hildegard met Herbert Pals. The couple was married in Germany. There they began their family and made a home. In the early 1960’s Hildegard came to Belmond, Iowa, USA. Herbert and Hildegard were blessed with four children, Petra and Nanci were born in Germany, Micheal and Neal were born in Belmond. The couple later divorced.

Hildegard worked as a housewife and mother. She also worked outside of the home. Over the years, Hildegard would work for the Belmond Hospital, Belmond Care Center, and EDS in Clarion. Hildegard was united in marriage to Donald Madison on August 11, 1984. The couple made their home in Belmond. She enjoyed gardening, being outside and uptown where she could visit with friends. Hildegard most loved her time spent surrounded by family.

Hildegard is survived by her children, Petra Lamfers and Wayne of Belmond, Nanci Borg and David of Missouri Valley, Neal Pals and Julie of Clear Lake, five grandchildren, Ash (Nicole), Austin (Angie), Rob (Emily), Derek, Alyssa (Aaron), six great grandchildren, Keaton, Remington, Kaden, Andrew, Avery, Alec, numerous other relatives, friends and pet doggy, Missy. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don, a sister, a brother, son, Micheal and dear doggy, Tammy.
