Melvin Fisk Body Brought to Goodell for Burial

GOODELL, Jan. 14 - The body of Melvin Fisk was brought here from Canton, S. Dak., today and buried Friday in the Amsterdam cemetery east of Goodell. The body was accompanied here by his nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Church, Forest City.

Melvin C. Fisk Body Buried at Goodell

FOREST CITY, Jan. 16 - The body of Melvin C. Fisk, 79, Fairview, S. Dak., whose sudden death occurred Jan. 9, while he was telephoning, was sent to Garner and interment was made in the Amsterdam cemetery, at Goodell in the Fisk family lot, Friday Jan. 11. News of his death was received by his nephew, A. R. Church of this city. Mr. Fisk came to Iowa in the early 60's having settled in Hancock county where he taught school for a number of years. Because of asthma, he went to Irene Nebr. but in 1899 moved to Fairview, S. Dak., where he lived until his death. He is survived by an aged sister, Frances Thatcher, Chelsea, Mich., and nine nephews and nieces.
